I just got my mower, with a gas mower it was hard to push mow my yard it's so uneven and small hills I'd have to get a running start. I'd be wore out needing a nap and takes 1.5 hours to push mow with my gas Troy bilt. I just did my whole yard in 40 mins the back had lots of high thick spots and it went through it like a champ. Next time I cut it, prob only 30 minute job. I highly recommend love this new mower. I cut my large yard in one charge. I'm also working on a kennel by myself I bought from Walmart it's not finished but coming along it's been a couple weeks since just me working on it.

Perfect mower

This mower is perfect, I was out of town working and my wife couldn't start the gas mower so I bought this one on line and it arrived early, she set it up charged the battery and cut the grass, when I got home I used it and I was very impressed, 1/3 of an acres plenty of battery life left after I was finished.

Great buy, I recommended to my friends

I love the Hart 40-volt Cordless 20-inch mower!  I was a little concerned about the weight of 69 lb as I have arthritis and didn't know if I could even get it out of the box. I opened the flaps on the top then turned it on its side, opened the bottom flaps, then just lifted the box off. It was REALLY easy to set up. Got the battery charged up and I was good to go. I got it because my landlord only cuts the grass every 2nd or 3rd week and the grass in my small fenced area gets really tall and my fur babies don't like to go out in it when it is taller than they are.  The grass was really tall and thick and this mower plowed right through on the highest height setting. It took me a while only because I tire easily and it was very hot outside and I had to keep stopping to rest and cool off.  I just mowed again a couple of days ago. The grass was not as tall and the mower did really well on the second lowest level. It only struggled in an area where the glass clippings got really thick. The battery did die toward the end but again it took me a while to mow, just because of my abilities, not the mower's.  I am very happy with this purchase.  I do wish it was more lightweight.

Just what I needed.

Everything about the mower screams easy. The initial set up was as simple as cutting a strap and unfolding it. Next I pushed the battery into place and it was ready to start! Starting it is as easy as holding the release lever and pushing the start button. To turn it off, I just release the lever. It has a bag to collect the clippings and or leaves. The bag sets into place with ease. I can raise or lower all 4 wheels at once extremely easily with a knob that is on top of the mower. There is a side attachment if I chose to blow the grass out the side instead of bagging it. However, I chose to bag for now because I had a lot of leaves that I wanted to “vacuum “ up. It worked like a charm! It was in the mid 70’s on Christmas Day, so I took my new mower out to mow my 77x100 sloped back yard. Normally I use a self propelled mower, but it is not working, so instead I push mowed with this mower. Much to my surprise, it was extremely easy to push and very lightweight. It mowed nicely and did an excellent job of picking up leaves! Im not sure how long the battery will last, but I can say that I mowed my entire lawn and never lost charge. I would say I have about 1/4 acre of grass.

Extremely easy!

I've gotten my use out of my various 20V HART equipment now I was ready to step it up and try their 40V line and was not let down. With the pictures included I was able to mow my approximately 3/4 acre lot and at the end checked the battery indicator and had 1 bar left over and it wasn't blinking or blistering hot. When I mow I also take breaks to edge or weed eat what I missed, leaf blow derby to get sucked by the mower, or take a sip of water and just take a break you know? It took about an hour and some change to finish this lot. I was not sure what to think going electric but it has some weight to it and is ready to use with the exception of charging the battery. It's lightweight but has enough weight not to feel like a helicopter and it sits on heavy parts of the grass. It's quiet to the point you can have a conversation or through vibration you can obviously tell it's on and can feel and hear the torque and suck of the blade underneath. I precut the sections of yard that were 6inches or taller cause I wasn't trying to kill the motor. But I mowed on the lowest setting. This is the FIRST mow of the year with sod and various quick grow seed thrown in between. It's a decent size battery perhaps the weight of a gallon of milk, so imagine pushing that around plus grass clippings if you decide not to mulch. This is NOT the self propelled model so you're going to get slightly more mow time than one that has basically walks itself once you turn it on.  I filled 3 (Food-Lion 39 gallon clear lawn and leaf bags) of dry grass clippings on 1 battery charge for you mathematicians out there. This purchase included the battery and charger. Very easy to leaf blow clean and click the 2 blue levers on side to fold and roll away. This was not a paid review just my honest experience with using gasoline my whole life to now wanting to try something different. Especially with renting and soon to be buying. Doing your own yardwork and saving on long term investments when you can is always the smart choice. That's why I went with HART.

Great investment for renters or first owners.

I have to say I did a lot of review about buying this Set it up within 10 minutes. Charge battery on full within 30 minutes. This works really well. Cut the grass today, takes me about 20 minutes with no hustle. Easy to push. the lowest  level is one and a half inch

Little engine

Ordered yesterday, received delivered today.  Took it out of the box, put it together in less than 10 min.   We put the battery in (without charging it) this little beast cranked right up and mowed most of our 1000 square foot lawn.  it was powerful, and easy to use and I am a 70 year old woman - I was able to use it with ease.    VERY impressed and I think it was worth the price.  it is beefy and not cheap at all.   So impressed with this little guy.  Charging the battery and will finish the rest of the lawn but I am impressed that it ran so long on literally a almost dead battery.

Worth the price and a GREAT tool

Prior to deciding to go with the HART 40V Lawnmower I watched multiple YouTube videos/researched a lot of different brands.  I ended up going with HART for the warranty ( same as Ryobi) and price.  I don't regret my purchase at all. First off, assembly was to easy, just install the grass clipping bag on the catcher.  It starts up at the press of the button and is not loud at all.  I was able to cut my entire backyard and small front yard and still had about 50% battery left.  I probably would of had more battery left if my grass was not 8 inches tall at the time of cutting it, which it cut the grass without any issues. This lawn mower caught all the grass clippings, much better then my gas mower did as seen in the picture shared.  Also, recharging the battery is a breeze and usually takes no more then 2-3 hours depending how dead it is at time of charging. Overall as of now I have no complaints, but will update my review should that change.

Impressive lawnmower

First off if you have never used an electric mower, please be aware that they cannot compete with a gas mower for power. If your grass is allowed to get very tall or it very thick and wet when you mow then you will be disappointed as it takes power to get through things like that and an electric will just stall out. Compared to even small 3hp gas mower, a 40V mower would have to put out 56 amps to run at 3hp (which it cannot) and even if it could it could only maintain that power output for about seven minutes with a 6Ah battery. I would guess max output for any 40V mower is under 1hp.

That said, for comparison I already have a older 17" Worx 40V mower that uses two 40V/2Ah batteries that I keep at my permanent camper. It does my lot and most of my neighbor's lot fine on "Turbo" (also has slower Eco mode) with enough battery power left to run the blower and trimmer off the batteries when finished. However, Worx still makes the batteries for this equipment but no longer makes the equipment so the batteries probably won't be available which is every electric user's nightmare...planned obsolescence. I have used that mower every other week for the past four years May through October with no issues.

Comparatively, this Hart mower is a 20" and comes with a massive 6Ahr battery so it should have no problem doing the job. It only has one speed. The charger appears to be a 4 amp charger and is fan cooled. It comes out of the box ready to use with mulch plug installed. The discharge chute or bagger are easily installed. The wheels are pretty big, 10" rear and 8" front, and are a high durometer rubber on plastic rims. Height adjustment is simple with the side lever from 1.5" to 4". 
 I like how it folds up and can be stood on end for storage. Although we're finished mowing for the season I expect this mower to do fine when it comes out of storage. The blade is sharp but fairly thin and is actually beaded down the middle to strengthen it. The mower has a five year warranty and three year battery warranty which is unheard of. One thing though is the batteries are very expensive...a new 6Ah battery is literally 2/3rds the cost of a new mower.
