No reason.  The skid sure can be adjusted to avoid pulling up the gravel.

Any reason why this won't work on a gravel drive? I don't want to scrape it to the ground just knock off the top 6-8" or so.

Received my package in perfect condition! Took 30 minutes to assemble. The weather was more of a factor then anything else! (It was 4 above wind chill at the time!) Added oil and gas (It doesn't ship with the oil in the engine!) It comes with a 20 oz. bottle of oil. Re-checked everything. It started almost immediately. Checked all forward and reverse gear movement. Checked auger and chute movement. Checked out perfect so far! Now I'm waiting for it to snow! Hopefully, I won't have to use it the rest of the winter. It better to have something and not need it, then the other way around! (An example of that is toilet paper!)

Box arrived in great shape and the unit was well packaged. Instructions for assembly were easy to follow. Assembled in less than half an hour. After adding the oil and gas it started with two pulls. Quality for the price looks great.

Great value for the price!

Purchased on Tuesday 3pm -- delivered Thursday at 10am.  Wow!  They originally estimated 2 weeks.  It has an electric starter (which I haven't tried yet).  I have to fiddle with the depth brackets yet.  Assembly took about 30 minutes.  I need to figure out wind.  So far I'd suggest waiting until the wind dies down.   I had a good coating of snow all over.  It threw the snow at least 20 feet -- more with the wind.  It took a while to figure out how much oil to put in.  And the gas ... well.. get a stool and sit while you do this 'cuase it likes to take it's time filling.   I'm very happy with it so far -- only one hour under my belt.  Compared to a plow on a lawn mower -- maybe a bit faster but there's lots of walking so wear your fitbit.

Worth it!  Just do it!

purchased the PSSW24 Powersmart Snowthrower exactly a year ago and have used it 5 times when it had a major malfunction! The Drive Gear somehow fell apart and got entwined with the Auger Belt Gear, causing the machine to get stuck in drive with blades and Auger spinning! Letting go of the levers that control the Augr and Drive did nothing! The machine was in high gear and would not stop until I was able to steer it into the snowbank and slow it down long enough to pull the key out and kill the engine! This ceated a vary dangerous situation that fortunately did not harm anyone. The key is located near the choke on the engine, which made it difficult to reach in an emergency like this one where the machine had to be controlled with both hands until it could be stopped! I now see that they have recalled 64,300 of these units for similiar issues with the Drive Gear getting stuck in Drive, creating a dangerous situation that so far hasn't created any injuries, but is bound to happen eventually if it's not repaired! Be sure to check if it's a recalled Snowthrower before purchasing one! I gave it a 3 because Customer Service never answered the phone after several 30 minute holds waiting for them to answer, also for not notifying me that the machine i purchased and registered was recalled and dangerous to operate! I purchased this model because it was USA made, but now I wonder if that means anything anymore... GO BRANDON!!

Poor Quality for USA made

after assembling found the cover was bended. Before I shop I already read many review about Fedex is suck, but this time the box is good, it could be the factory's QA is bad, because try to save money.
The total condition is ok, no problem. Lucky Walmart is easy to return and I can order the other one.

Blade cover left side was bended,

The box and blower had oil all over it..the front shield over the auger blades was bent in three places.
We are going to see if it will run tomorrow after we put oil and gas in it.

Dropped or something fell on it.

came early. it also came in an undamaged box. but the fron lower on both side of auger area shoot opening area was bent pretty good so since box came undamaged it tells me and u the ones who build them only to a certian point and box them are the ones damaging these snow blowers. cause if it was fedex and walmart knownly knows that fedex doing such a thing and still use them to ship would just make walmart a company of no smarts or care about ur purchase but i was able to slightly unbend those spots. other then that came also with all parts and spares and runs awsome and tested it in a small snow pile and that thing launches that snow like a rocket i can almost hit a power line with shooy full upward postion lol.

How they let go out of the door without checking everything is right?

Poor quality control

Item delivered with damaged packaging. Upon opened I found the snow blower had multiple scratches on it, probably was used before. The engine oil bottle was missing and also the speed control rod. It was a hassle unpacking and installing the item and redo the whole process again. It was super heavy. I returned the item and still haven't received the refund after 2 weeks. What a disappointment.

Disappointed!

This review isnt about how the blower performs this is how the store sent it to me and lied. i was told the box was damaged but the blower was fine.  That wasnt the case at all, blower was damaged and they only wanted to take $99 off and it wasnt even the model i paid for.  now they have none in stock to replace.
