So much to love with one big issue...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this laptop and it is by far the most powerful laptop I've ever owned. It is light weight, sleek, powerful and just overall fun to use. That said, it's not perfect. While being powerful and having a lot under the hood, it does get warm and you can tell when you look under the laptop that this thing is all about allowing maximum airflow to help with cooling. So to keep this organized, lets talk positives. The PROs: It is a great looking machine - aesthetically it is gorgeous. It is a powerful computer - with an i7 12700H AND RTX 3070, it rivals desktop gaming computers and is portable and has a keyboard and mouse! The monitor is 144hz and vibrant - great for work and gaming. Upgradability is an option - while there are special screw types to open the laptop, once inside, you can upgrade the ram or add more storage easily. Lots of cooling - this laptop implements some serious cooling inside to compete with the heat it can produce. The CONs: The heat - it's science, the more powerful the computer components, the more power they tend to use which produces more heat - that makes things hot and this laptop can push the heat so be aware while gaming! The gigabyte software is improving, but not quite "the best"... updating using the Gigabyte control panel is an issue when it sometimes just closes (I'm assuming crashes while installing an update) And now for the one BIG ISSUE I have with this laptop... Sleep Mode/Hibernate - This might just be an issue with my laptop, but this is almost a deal breaker for me recommending this laptop and why I can only give it a 3 out of 5 and it has to do with Shutting Down/ Sleep Mode of this laptop. I just reformatted to see if it would help, but almost every night when I close the lid to my laptop to go to sleep, I wake up to it taking a long time to boot up again and almost every time it's evident the laptop shut down. This should NOT happen when going into SLEEP mode. Google Chrome will ask me if I want to RESTORE my session because my computer didn't shut down properly. The only issues I've had with this laptop are ALL related to this Sleep mode problem and I'm not sure what's causing it. If it's Windows 11 or if there is an issue with my laptop itself but it's why while I REALLY like this laptop, I can't recommend it if this issue is typical. If it's not, and it's just mine, then that stinks, but it's a good laptop. Just frustrating for me.

Laptops pretty cool
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the prettiest laptop but no one else I know even now has a laptop as fast as mine. It's a real rtx card and a real Intel 13 series. Still good in 2023 for most games. The keyboard took a bit to get used to but it's a good keyboard overall. Just wish the trackpad was more centered and has buttons but I can't gripe about that. The display is amazing, very good framerate and a nice matte finish. The battery is the Achilles heel of this laptop, but honestly, it's a tank. You won't be taking this to the park for 6 hours. It's more like a desktop that you can use anywhere in the house. There's nothing better than the freedom of being able to use your computer at your desk, bed, kitchen, and then game on the same one without having to do the "file shuffle." And yes, it has SD card support.

It’s pretty good. beautiful RGB lights and performance. The speed is fast. Maybe it’s not a good brand for laptop like rog or others. But it’s cheap.

Great productivity and gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the laptop for about a week and in short I do recommend this laptop, specially when comparing the price to other laptops with similar specs, it’s great for productivity and gaming, and the cons that I found can be solved through updates or might not bother you at all. Pros: It’s sturdy, you can customize profiles and fan speeds, powerful CPU and GPU for productivity and gaming. Cons: Battery life, camera position, connected HDMI and USBs stick out, need a T6H torx screwdriver to open, had issues with audio, video and BSoD before applying all available Windows 11 and driver updates. If you’re interested in the details keep reading. Laptop Built: It feels sturdy, the only part with some flex is the area around the panel logo. Comfortable keyboard and touchpad. The camera is at the bottom so your fingers may get in the way, and the angle is bad. Connected USB or HDMI don’t go all in and stick out of the connection port, everything works fine but there can be some wiggle. Gigabyte Control Center: The software has different (customizable) profiles that adjust hardware settings, which is useful and convenient. You can monitor CPU and GPU utilization and temperatures, and current fan speed. Productivity Task: On the creator profile Cinebench R23 single core score was 1739 and 13049 for multi core, the turbo profile yielded higher scores. Compiling UE5 source code (and doing nothing else) took about 1 hour 25 minutes, for reference another laptop that had an i7-9750H and same RAM took 3 hours 45 minutes. For rendering I use blender, the classroom scene took 45 seconds using the CPU and 31 seconds using the GPU. Gaming: Tested on high settings using the control center’s gaming profile and got the average fps at both 1080p (laptop’s display) and 1440p (external display). In Cyberpunk I used the game’s benchmark, 1080p got 85 fps and 117 fps with DLSS; 1440p got 55 fps and 92 fps with DLSS. For Witcher 3 I visited different areas in the game, 118 fps at 1080p and 100 fps at 1440p. For Control I played the game’s start, 1080p got 107 fps and 130 fps with DLSS; at 1440p it got 73 fps and 110 fps with DLSS. Temperatures: The room temperature is around 23C. When iddle CPU temps are around 30C, when multitasking it goes to 47C. Gaming on ultra settings average temps were 85C for CPU and 75C for GPU, both ±5C. At the highest temps the WASD area of the keyboard felt warm at most, but the area around the enter key felt hot. Battery Life: I recorded the time it took to go from 100% to 10% on different profiles. While only streaming movies on power saving mode the battery lasted 4 hours 30 minutes. On creator mode and multitasking battery lasted around 2 hours. For gaming, Witcher 3 on medium settings, 1 hour 25 minutes.

Nice look & feel, great performance, bad battery
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks and feels great, maybe not a super high-end quality, but it feels like that, the screen is perfect, but the best quality is its performance, I'm using it for programming not for gaming and I can run many programs without any problem. The only downside is the battery life, it lasts around 3 hours depending on what you are doing and configurations. Even thought, great deal! I'm happy with it.

Great Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful laptop! Great performance, decently quiet fans, a plethora of features (big fan of Aorus features - like easily setting a custom boot animation). Can run all the games I want with good frames a high graphics.

Excellent Laptop but the RGB Controls Are Limited
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this is a beast of a midrange laptop. I can play the latest version of Cyber Punk 2077 on RTX Ultimate settings at an average of 70fps. To increase battery life you will definitely need to adjust the power settings and disable the keyboard LCD. Things to note: The display refresh rate on this model is 144Hz. If you're a streamer, you're going to need a USB hub. The GoXLR is a little quirky; sound from web browsers goes in and out, especially when watching YouTube. The keys feel nice and clicky and have a good bit of travel. Single PC streaming from this laptop is pretty much flawless, but it's worth mentioning that the fans get really loud when so you'll want noise reduction effects on your mic. My only issue is with the Gigabyte Control Center. Do not update it. As soon as I updated it, the Fusion RGB tab was limited to 7 colors and only a static effect. You can create a custom color profile but you can't delete it. I just bothering to use the GCC. Other than that, I highly recommend this laptop if it fits your budget.

Q: Questionwill I be able to upgrade ram to DDR5
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Spec's say DDR4, so no upgrade path in that regard. The good news is, the real world performance is pretty much the same, and upgrading to more ram is less than half the price for DDR4.
