Basically these are expensive toys. Buy one and play with it in great depth. See how the mobile app works for you and what features it has and how they fit what you need and would expect how the features should act/operate. One negative off the top is the bulbs’ lenses are white opaque plastic that throws light all over, it's muddy and not the great crisp, clear, clean light that LEDs create naturally. Their GU10 seems to have clear prismatic lenses that would be prefect. But not the rest of their bulbs.

See how bright it actually is, and they are, how it "distributes" the light in any and all fixtures you would use them in. Especially make sure you check the white color temperature range, especially in the 2700K to 4000K range to see if it is to your liking. As far as industrial lighting scales these bulbs run peach rather than golden yellow as it should be. Their CRI, Color Rendering Index (an industrial rating scale that tells you how accurate a bulbs marked color temperature is), rating of these bulbs are low. The lower the CRI number or "personally considered index level" the less accurate and "truthful" the stated color the bulbs light color is. All lighting that states a "Kelvin Color Temperature", such as 2700K which is similar to the color of a regular incandescent or halogen light, which should look "yellow orange" or “warm”; 3000K which has a little bit more white to it, but is still in the “warm” range with more of an orange, not peach tint; and 4000K is approaching sunlight color temperatures adding more of a bluish white tint, but still on the golden warm side (not peach), will have a CRI number and the higher the number is to 100, the more accurate or truthful that bulb will be to that stated color. Although these bulbs make many colors, a big claim is their “white light abilities”.

Take your time in playing/seriously using these bulbs to make sure they meet your expectation and validates the expense. I use the three that I have gotten, so far, to personally test in many ways. First testing to see if I could use them in industrial locations such as Bars and Restaurants to set ever changing moods (the color fading/changing is way too fast as it is with all bulbs like these); the other is that I need them to do a "Disco with Sound Trigger mode", with the 16.7 million colors they can make, built in individual WiFi connections will save me a fortune in needing to use a lot of individual more expensive lights for entertainment situations. The feature in the LIFX app that is suppose to do a “Disco Lighting” thing is a fake flicker than is not actually reading the sound through your mobile device giving you a "real light show", but flickers in a "perceived" manner that makes you think they are going with the music. I found this out when it continues even in silence. That was the first tip off that it was a fake effect. I use a free with "pay for" upgrade options "Light DJ" that is amazing at making these bulbs give you a great light show. There are tons of third party apps and associations, the IFTTT organization, that have add-ons that allow you to use these in billions of really great ways.

Colors

The LIFX Color Smart A19 Light Bult perfectly integrates with the Google Home for a seamless experience. It quickly changes colors, and is able to do so without heating excessively. Additionally, in a given unit, one bulb can turn red, while another can turn purple. The bulbs stay cool, and the reaction time is almost instantaneous. I have tried several other brands of smart light bulbs, and this one is above and beyond the best. I wrote this view as participation in a contest.

I had the opportunity to first-hand demonstrate this product during a live-testing event and was taken away by the versatility of the LIFX Mini smart bulb. These bulbs are smaller than the traditional bulbs (hence, Mini), but pack a power punch when it comes to lighting. There are default settings which has the standard lights, as well as a whole color spectrum that can be controlled through the app or if connected to a Bluetooth home device. Overall, if on the borderline of purchasing this, please do not hesitate to give it a try - I gave it a chance and plan on purchasing them for the entertainment room and bedroom.

Easy to Set-Up, Hassle Free!

It's nice to not have to need a hub for each light bulb, and setting up different themes is fun!

Smart Bulb without the hub is perfect

I once bought a mobile-app controlled smart floor lamp, which works pretty well and convenient! While I need return the whole lamp once it get trouble, which is heavy an big chunk.  This smart bulb is small, sharp designed and much cheaper compare to the whole lamp. And also it gives more flexibility on lamp choices. This bulb has wide color and brightness option range. Pretty good for a start on enjoy IOT era! I wrote this review for a contest.

It was a gift for a friend but it is a great wirelessly controlled LED bulb.  I got it for her since she has an Apple HomePod and it works with that as well the app for her phone.  It can change colors and brightness.  It can react to music from the HomePod.  She likes it very much.

If you're a Smart Home enthusiast, you should try out this bulb. I saw a demo of this product with the Google Mini and it integrates smoothly with it. You can control the bulb's light by instructing your mini to change the color to red, purple, or whatever color you desire. If you're planning on watching a movie, you can even instruct your mini to dim the light without every having to get up out of your seat. Definitely worth giving it a try to appease your lazy side. 

The price may be shocking for someone who's never tried any smart home items, but it may be worth it if you have an Alexa, Google Assistant, etc... in your house. After all, these bulbs are so energy efficient and can last a very long time...

I absolutely love this product. I have been using these light bulbs with my Google Home, and it is so amazing! I can simply instruct my Google Home to turn on the lights, turn off the lights, dim the lights, change colors, and more!

Amazing product

I was really impressed with this product. Firstly, I was impressed with the quality of the regular-level light given off by the bulb. I would assume that is the state most people will be using the product in, despite the other functions, so it's important to me that it does what a light bulb should do and I can attest that it does without any issues. With that concern out of the way, the added features make this a really cool and unique light bulb. You can change the color of the light to set the mood for a party or if you're just tired of regular light. You can dim the light if you're reading at night or if you're watching a movie (can even hook it up to your google home to control the dimmer). The coolest part about all of this is that you can control everything straight from the app on your phone seamlessly. The app is super straightforward and intuitive and there was no delay in controlling the color or dimness level of the light. I can see myself using this in all sorts of scenarios and would find it really useful when you're sitting or laying down and don't want to get up (encouraging my laziness). Overall, this product is great and I would definitely recommend. I am writing this review as part of a contest.
