It fit OK under the seat of the plane but didn't leave me a lot of room. I flipped it over and put it so the part against your back was facing up and the bottom of the pack was facing away from me and that freed up some room.
The straps are comfortable enough and the handle on top is sturdy. I like how I can seal it up so my straps aren't flying around everywhere.
The outside straps compress things nicely reducing the size of the pack even further. If you travel with a computer or laptop then the additional storage for that is great. I however don’t & find the laptop pocket a bit of a waste of space. I have used it for my tablet, kindle & other small objects.
The backpack is incredibly light even when full & the shoulder straps & hip strap make carrying it a breeze. I’ve had no issues storing it in over head bins & it even fits under the seat in front of you making it the perfect “carry on” piece for those budget airlines.
I’ve only had this pack for a couple trips but it seems like it’s built just like my larger Osprey backpacks which means it’ll be strong like a tank & last a VERY long time.
Don’t let the price scare you. This is the real deal travel backpack for anyone serious about travel.
