Yes, .. the truck has weight sensors, also, the steering wheel has to be removed inorder to use the remote control feature.. so in a nutshell, no one can be on the truck while it is in remote control mode\

Before you go and rate this truck 1 star you should know that underneath the seat is a springy thing where the screw to the seat goes.. right in front of it is a little black button. after you charge the truck and power it on try holding down the black button while pressing on the foot pedal. if the truck wheels spin then your truck works just fine!.. if however you place the seat back on and screw it in and the truck doesn't work.. simply take off the seat and fold a little tiny piece of cardboard over the black button and firmly tape it over it. then place the seat back on and screw it back in and behold your truck should run like a champ! I am very thankful that I looked over everything and found the issue before returning! my little boy will be so happy with his birthday present!

My 2yr old AND 5 year old niece LOVES this. But yes, I followed the advice of another review to "hack" this toy by putting a water bottle lid to cover the underseat switch. Interesting how the price is "on sale" but it's considerably more expensive than when I bought it. I paid $39 which was an excellent price

LOVE LOVE LOVE

The truck is perfect for indoor use, my nephew enjoys it driving in the house. The battery lasts a few days. On 100% charge it causes understeer on hardwood floor, has better control on carpet or outdoor. As the charge depletes, the rear wheels spin slower and give better control. 
The driven wheels arent locked either and have some sort of limited slip differential like a real vehicle, so if one wheel is stuck the other will spin to get the vehicle going.
Another plus point is that the battery is 12V, giving it more torque and fun.

Great product at its price

Oh my goodness Gave this to my 3yr old grandson for his birthday. What a hit!! He loves it. Had no problems setting it up! And it has a little power. Can't wait for this quarantine to be over so he can enjoy it in the sunshine. Was a little worried after reading some of the reviews but watched the video charged the battery and it worked like a charm. Thank you to Huffy and Walmart.

Powerful little truck!

The battery is not strong 。Although it is 12v, it cannot work on the grass. The remote control cannot be used. The child just push the car and run on the grass. The purchase failed.

Absolute garbage. This was my son's santa gift and I am completely disappointed. I had to rig the button under the seat for it to do anything and then we go outside to use it because we live in a tiny singlewide so indoor riding is not an option...and it will not go in the grass...which is basically nonexistent due to it being winter so it's  extra pathetic that this 12v ride won't go. Doesn't work in any surface except the linoleum in the kitchen. I'm a single mother and work very hard to provide for my son and this hurt my heart that it's such a let down for his Christmas.

GARBAGE DO NOT BUY

Wouldn't work on ride mode. And RC mode was very slow not no 5 mph like it says. Very disappointed because my son loved it but I returned it. Followed instructions to a T and watched several YouTube videos. My brother is a mechanic and knows a lot about these ride ons and he couldn't get it! He said he could have modified it but I just returned it. We found a four wheeler on the side of the road turned it to a 24 volt and we got another one to work on to. This one went back. So tired of these power wheels they are not making them right!!! This huffy isn't my first Its actually my fourth type power wheels I have had problems with. When my daughter was little they were made good. Sorry for the long post but everything is just going down hill.....

The worst design and worst purchase from Walmart I've ever made.  Very low power to drive outside and just spins indoors on hard floor.  Only one back wheel powers the vehicle.  Seat switch is the reason ppl have issues riding due to properly screwing the seat in.  Also you have to open and connect the battery terminal prior to charging.  FYI you cannot use RC mode with a rider on unless you prop something so the seat switch isn't pressed down.  Even then there isnt anything for the kid to hold on to.  Not worth even half what they are charging.  If I didn't trash the box it'd be going back to Walmart.  Huffy should stick to bikes.

I purchased the green 12V Huffy and love it. It works as it should, which lead me to buy this one. Initially it wouldnât work at all. Now my son can ride on it but the remote control function doesnât work. The green one goes faster too. Spend the extra $30 to get the greeen one or youâll be disappointed.
