Assembly was minimal and very easy with the provided tools. The app was easy to find and download and we were test riding quickly. We must use the bike on a thick carpet and were concerned about the stability, but there isn't the slightest movement at any speed standing or sitting. And yet, when you tip it onto the wheels, it is very easy to relocate. And for older people (like us) it can be a simple machine that can be used without the app so you can use the very grippy platform for your device for viewing anything else as well, or simply watch the TV because the bike is virtually silent.

Compact but extremely stable

Really good for the price. Set up was very easy. The app is iffy but whenever it works I enjoy being able to see my RPM's and calorie count.  I agonized about this purchase and am very pleased!

Great indoor cycling bike

I am thrilled with this great exercise bike. It is very well built, the frame is rock solid -- The handlebars, seat, and pedals, which come with foot clip straps, all seem to be designed for serious bikers. The chain and all else is enclosed inside a cover, for safety.. There isn't any screen to break, either. Instead, there is a battery-powered casing enclosed that syncs easily with my iPhone and even my ipad… Then, your phone becomes the screen, and you can have it measure time, distance, or calories (or really, all three). You can register (also free) to have it track your progress over time, or just use it as a guest.
 To use the app, you just load the app (doesn't take up much space ), then pedal for a few turns which turns on the interior Bluetooth capability, and your app will find the bike automatically and sync up to how you're pedaling. It is the simplest "Smart" app I've ever tried.
.The bike is very compact, not bulky at all...easy to move from one room to another..not noisy at all.. 

The seat slides up and down, or forward and back, to get situated however you like. Changes can be made in seconds, yet everything is rock solid, once you're done. The handlebars are set up to be used from an upright or a lean-forward position. There is also a rubberized slot for a phone to watch your progress.

The handlebars screw into their place with the hex wrench, also included. The drink holder attaches with the screws provided. Altogether, the assembly took me about 45 mins and it looks like it should last a lifetime. This is, truly, the finest exercise bike I've ever owned, and I am thrilled... 

Now for the CONS : I only have 2 ..... The handlebars.. should have been made where they can be adjusted ( once attached That is it, no adjusting)
Drink Holder is not in the right place.....I have to almost come to a complete stop to reach the water bottle since the holder is so far down...you have to bend way over to reach the drink...

But other than those 2 cons...this is a fantastic exercise bike....and I am thrilled with it.....

A+++ Exercise Bike

This bike is fabulous!  I reinforced the seat with foam and towels to make it more comfortable, but it works well and we love it.

Great exercise bike!

It seems like, over the past year, I've let my fitness slide, especially since I've been dealing with one flu or cold after another. But I'm concerned that my strength and flexibility will lessen each week, while my waistline grows. So I am thrilled with this great exercise bike. First off, it is over-built, with a super heavy flywheel and the frame is rock solid -- nothing lightweight about it. The handlebars, seat, and pedals, which come with toe clip straps, all seem to be designed for serious bikers. The chain and all else is enclosed inside a cover, so I don't need to worry about any toddlers getting their fingers anywhere they shouldn't. 

There isn't any screen to break, either. Instead, there is a battery-powered casing enclosed that syncs easily with the "myCloudFitness" app, available free on the Google/Android and Apple stores. Then, your phone becomes the screen, and you can have it measure time, distance, or calories (or really, all three). You can register (also free) to have it track your progress over time, or just use it as a guest. To use the app, you just load the app (doesn't take up much space or use a lot of permissions), then pedal for a few turns which turns on the interior Bluetooth capability, and your app will find the bike automatically and sync up to how you're pedaling. The ride is the best I've ever experienced, bar none. 

There is a brake-style foot that I can twist a few times to increase or decrease the load and resistance, whenever I like. Aside from the sturdy frame, the feet are heavy duty as well, with adjustable heights to keep the bike from rocking on tiled floors, uneven floors, etc. There are wheels on one base to make it easy to roll around and move it when needed. The assembly process is straightforward: Remove the temporary "feet," and replace with the regular ones as shown in the exceptionally well-designed manual, using the tools provided. Place the posts for the handlebars and seat into their slots, adjusting the knobs for each to set the height however you like. Attach the seat and pedals, as on any bike, again using the simple tools provided.

Altogether, the assembly took me about 1/2 hour and it looks like it should last a lifetime. Fantastic quality and very smooth ride.

I received my PROGEAR 300BT Exercise Bike/Indoor Training Cycle with Bluetooth Smart Technology and Free APP just before Christmas. The bike comes well packed but I had a very large hole and the chain cover was damaged. I contacted the manufacture and a new one was at my house in days. Assembly of my PROGEAR 300BT Exercise Bike/Indoor Training Cycle was not difficult. The directions are well written and they included all the parts and tools needed to assemble the bike. It was a hit on Christmas Day for many of the cousins just loved getting a work out before eating a big Christmas meal. This is a solid well built bike. It is also very quiet so you can watch your favorite show on TV. The PROGEAR 300BT Exercise Bike/Indoor Training Cycle does not take up much room and it even comes with wheels on the front that allows you to tilt the bike and roll it to where you want it. I downloaded the MyCloudFitness App. It was easy to figure out and use. You can buy a separate chest strap to track your heart rate if you want. I found adjusting the tension to the 30 lb flywheel to be easy. The bike can handle up to 275 lbs weight capacity. The design is such that you do lean over but you can also just sit straight up. If you stand and pedal it is supposed to simulate hills. Since I am just starting out I only tried it for a short period. Now for the Cons: The seat that came with it is small and hard, which is fine if you are thin and fit already. I replaced it with the seat from my mountain bike that is in storage for the winter. The water bottle holder is to low and because of this hard to reach while pedaling. The handle bars only adjust up and down. It would have been nice if they would tilt forward and back. The last con is the holder for your smart phone. If you keep your phone in a case it will not fit. I had to turn mine side was as if I had it vertical I felt it might fall out. If you are looking for an easy to use bike and do not want to buy one of those really expensive models this is one getting.

Great Exercise Bike

First, this bike comes very well packaged, with very detailed and thorough instructions. This is very important, as putting exercise equipment together can be cumbersome when there are many parts. Everything you need to assemble the bike is included and laid out nicely. I did have help with the assembly to assist with balancing the pieces as I worked. It took about 30 minutes total.

The easiest way to break anything down is by Pro and Con, so here they are:

Pro:
Quiet - this bike makes no noise during operation so that is great for homes with sleeping partners or children.
Size - this bike will fit almost anywhere, it is small in form but adjusts many different ways to meet the different height needs.
Simplicity - this bike will not confuse you. If you want to use the app then install the batteries, download the app, and go. There are not a ton of bells and whistles that you'll never use.
Build - this bike is built strong, it is solid and the feet adjust to match your flooring, even if it's slanted.
Portability - wheels included means easy to wheel from one spot to another when needed.
Resistance - It is very easy to change the resistance with one hand, and quickly, by turning the knob.

Con:
Seat - the seat is the general one size fits all seat, not very comfortable for someone who has tailbone issues, such as myself. I will replace it.
Handlebars - I would like it more if they were adjustable forward and back instead of just up or down as I am very short and therefore, have a shorter grip.
Toe cages - I prefer to cycle barefoot and this is not possible with the current pedal and cages as there is a grip to keep your feet stable that you cannot remove without making the pedal unstable. You can remove the cage but not the grips. 

Overall, the bike is great, it's simple, and it has a great price point. For those casual exercisers, those who are just starting, or those who wish to dial down the fancy exercise equipment with something that simply meets thier needs, this bike is the perfect solution.

Quality Exercise Bike

Having a busy daily schedule makes it very hard to find time to go to the gym and try finding time to exercise in order to stay in shape. Having this Progear exercise bike in my garage and having it on the standby "ready to roll" at any given moment is a huge advantage! The put together process is fairly easy and fast, the main frame already comes pre assembled and the only things that you have to connect are the front and rear stabilizers, seat, handlebars and a cup holder, I put it together by myself in less than 15 min. The bike comes with all the necessary tools and instructions for the put together process. The bike itself is not too heavy, after installing everything together it is very easy to move around to desired spot with the help of the wheels which are located on the front bracket. I like the fact that this bike can support up to 275 lbs, also the fact that it has a built-in Bluetooth which comes in handy after you download MyCloudFitness app, which helps you keep a track of all your fitness activity such as calories burned per day, week, month, etc. The frame of the bike is steel which is heavy duty and makes me feel secure and comfortable enough to do the exercise. I love the fact that in between the handlebars there is a special place where you can place your phone in order to keep up with your progress on the app, also I love that you can adjust the tention of the wheel from super easy roll to extremely hard which will give you the most exercise for your legs. Even though I love most of the advantages of this bike there are a few that I dislike, like an extremely uncomfortable seat that doesn't have any cushioning in it, it is so hard that I can not stand to sit on it without having a thick pillow on top of it, the seat should be reinvented and be more comfortable. Also there is a cheaply made cup holder which fell off as soon as I screwed the screws through it, the plastic is so thin, it wouldn't even hold an empty cup if it wanted to, also there are the paddles that have straps on them that can be locked in around your feet and a plastic insert that you slide your feet in which are both extremely uncomfortable and I feel like absolutely unnecessary, therefore I just removed both from the paddles. Other than a couple of design flaws, I absolutely love my new exercise bike and most definitely enjoy riding it on a daily basis for about 30 min a day. It's is indeed a great way to get your exercise in and stay in shape!

So impressed with this bike! I was really surprised by the weight and quality of this bike...well you should be aware that although the bike is packed nicely, the box is extremely heavy...I'm just glad my husband was home to receive the package...I was also glad he built it for me...It only took him 30 minutes...he said it was pretty easy....instructions where also very easy to follow...The bike itself is very sturdy, it holds up to 275 lbs...You can also download an app to track your workouts...The bike is very compact, not bulky at all...easy to move from one room to another...It's not a high end workout bike...but it's pretty good for in-home use...does the job and is not noisy at all...The only one thing I did not like where the metal pedals...I think plastic medals are more comfy on my feet...but overall this is a great bike!

Great basic Bike!

This progear 300BT Exercise Bike/Indoor Training Cycle arrived just in time for my new years resolution as I have gained weight over this past year. Being a new exercise bike, hopefully the novelty will last a while as I get back in shape. This package was appropriately packaged as all the contents were undamaged even though there was some puncture tears on the box, which is understandable as it is heavy and was a struggle getting it inside the house when it was delivered.

Following the included instructions guide, and using the tools provided, it took about 30 minutes to assemble. There are no built-in buttons and screens, or anything to power, so it is very simple with less things to break over time. However, if you need to log and track workouts, there is an attached Bluetooth module that needs two batteries, that can connect with a mobile device and interact with the MyCloudFitness app. The app is intuitive and works as advertised.

The seats and handlebar are all adjustable for reach and comfort. I did feel the seat was uncomfortable after a while as it is firm. Will probably try to add a gel foam seat cover or something from the bike shop when I get a chance to make it comfortable for longer endurance workouts. The mobile device holder could be better designed as I'm unable to keep my mobile device vertically although it's fine with device in horizontal position, but would prefer it vertical. These are all small issues but shouldn't deter you from getting this exercise bike as it is very minimalistic and should last for many years.

Overall, it's sturdy, stable, and heavy, made out of high quality durable materials. Without all the bells and whistles, this is all you need to get your workout going.

Burn the fat

I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my husband. The wheel on the bike began to peel day 1 of him trying it out. There is a padding that presses against the wheel when you want to apply tension to make cycling more challenging but when he did that it began to make the wheel peel. Then the next day when he tried it out again the bike began to make a loud noise when he pedaled. I wouldn't expect for there to be these types of issues from the bike on the very first day or two... the seat is also very narrow and uncomfortable.
