These have a nice curve, not a super-duper arc, but just enough to notice that wraparound effect. The bezel could be thinner if I had to find something to nit-pick about, but it only contributes about 3/4 of an inch of empty space between monitors, so it's not even that noticeable. Less than a regular window muntin.
So far, I've run these for at least 8-10 hours a day for the past few months and they have done a great job. I can't detect any issues with the picture quality. I like that these have 2 HDMI inputs and one display port. That's a total of three inputs per monitor.
Ideally, I could run 3 separate systems without having to get a monitor switch, and in fact I'm running 3 computers on them right now. Not at the same time of course, and if I want to switch, I have to toggle the input selector that's on the back of the monitor -- not the best location because of having to reach under and around. I'd rather the selector buttons were located on the bottom of the monitor instead of the back, but it's not a big deal because I don't usually run all 3 computers at the same time. The monitor can sense and switch whatever input is on as long as only one computer is on.
The included stands are not awful, but not great, so I have them on a 3-monitor mount using the VESA mounting points which works very well.
And the price was not bad for a 27-inch monitor that runs at 185Hz. The price seems to fluctuate a lot, though. I had these on my list for a long time before I finally bought them because of its volatility. I can't wait to try out the newest version of MS Flight Simulator on these because once the three are set up, I can imagine it will get close to having a VR version with the curved wraparound view.
Pros:
- Really crisp image and color saturation for a VA panel
- Low latency
- Freesync compatible, so it pretty much works with my GTX 1080 on Windows 10 without much issue.
- Affordable entry level monitor
- Perfect size for my needs and the edgeless screen is really nice
Cons:
- May not suit some people as its not an IPS panel so the darks aren’t as exact as they could be but its not really noticeable unless you really focus on it.
- Maybe also slightly on the large side for a 1080p monitor, for 27” you really should look at getting a 1440p monitor.
- Nothing else really, I don’t personally have any complaints with it just pointing out a few things other people have said about it.
- Assembly was simple and did not require me to read the instructions.
- There were no dead pixels (ran some tests on the monitor to be certain), which was my biggest concern.
- The picture was nice and clear. The text wasn't as defined as my 4k monitor, but I wouldn't expect it to be.
- An easy change in display settings to turn on 144 Hz.
- Registering the monitor for the warranty was simple and required no hoops via the Sceptre website. The exact link provided on the warranty card wasn't working, but I was able to go to the home page and click the register link at the bottom which worked.
- There was a small amount of backlight bleed at the edge of the panel in a couple of spots, but could only be seen in while the room was dark.
While I managed to get these on sale, the current price of $193 is still a good deal for the size and refresh rate.

And of course, if you want to take advantage of the wonderfully high refresh rates you'll need a computer that can output these high FPS. If your PC is only doing 30 FPS, well then it doesn't matter if you monitor is 60hz, 185hz, or 1000hz.

Expected a new monitor but got one that was returned to Amazon. Was missing the 2 screws that hold the mount to the monitor which is kind of important. Luckily I found a couple screws to fit. Still haven’t tested it out but will be doing that shortly. Still unhappy that I paid for new and got a used product.
Will update once I test it out tonight.
Tested it out and luckily everything is working so far. Ran a dead pixel test and couldn’t find any, so that’s good news.
Overall the monitor is nice. I have always purchased Sceptre monitors and have never been disappointed. Changed my review to 5 stars since there’s nothing wrong with the monitor.
The only thing that disappoints me with this delivery is that I received an open box item.
