Dixit is the classic, simple, lighthearted game of storytelling and guesswork where your imagination unlocks the tale. Winner of the prestigious Spiel des Jahres award, Dixit invites you to use the gorgous, imaginative artwork on the cards to tell brief stories. Each round, one player selects a card from his or her hand, thinks up a sentence, and plays the card facedown, telling the others the sentence conjured by the card. The other players all choose cards that they think match that sentence and play them facedown. The cards are shuffled and then revealed. Players secretly vote for the card that best matches the narrator's story, and player whose cards are chosen score a number of points. Of course, the real victory in Dixit is not in amassing points, but in sharing a creative experience with your family and friends.

We played Dixit as a family and had a blast. Everyone who plays it wants to buy it.

Great family fun and party game

My family absolutely loves this game. We played it once at a church group and we knew we had to have it. The biggest positive is the simplicity of the game, the fact that most ages can play together, and the cool artwork. Highly recommended!

My entire family LOVES this game - including the 8 and 12 year old grandchildren.  You cannot go wrong with this one!  We had gotten rather tired of all the games we play as a family - and it was so great to have something so clever and so new!

You won't regret this purchase.

A friend of mine came to visit with her 4 children ranging age from 9 to 17 and brought this game. Everyone was able to play the game and it was great fun! I've since purchased the game and used it for game nights only with adult players and it continues to be a success! It is different each time depending on who the payers are. It's a great game for 4 -6 people although we've played just with 3 payers and it was just as entertaining.

Great game. My 4 year old granddaughter can play with a little help and a card holder.

Dixit is a very interesting game for people with imagination. Imagination is used to 'interpret' various ambiguous picture cards, and distil your interpretation into a verbal clue word or phrase. Others try to find something in their hidden picture cards that the given verbal clue can apply to. Then players lay down their chosen cards face up, and guess who put down which card. Points scored accordingly. But to make things interesting, it's best to give subtle verbal clue phrases. If it's too obvious and everyone guesses correctly, zero points are gained. Also, players get points if they were not the clue giver that round, and other players guessed that their chosen card was the 'real' card the clue was based on.
It's easier and more fun to play than describe. Takes about 30 minutes per game. *4 very interesting artwork cards, with expansion decks available.

The family loves this game! It is a quick game and even my youngest understands it and enjoys it. We get a lot of laughs out of it!

Great family game!

I was so happy that this item arrived early. But the packaged had arrived damaged. It was a birthday present for my niece, but I'm disappointed that it came to her in its condition. All I would have asked for was that it arrive in protective packaging so that damage would have been avoided during its transit.

I searched for the game board that is actually pictured in this product description before I purchase this. Once I receive this product, it is not what is pictured. It is just a plain scoreboard and not the cute version that I wanted. So very disappointed that this was misleading.
