Great product, no complaints
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works perfectly. Been running 24/7 for a couple weeks now with zero issues. First night I turned it on it filled the bucket in under 7 hours. Now it fills the bucket about once every 12 hours. Keeps the humidity level at about 40% in a small barracks room (two bedrooms, one bath, no other living areas, in Georgia). Pros - Simple operation - Reliable - Relatively quiet - Pulls a lot of water Cons - Honestly can't think of any

Difference it makes in a room on a summer day
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mugginess I smell and icky feeling I get when I enter our master bedroom that's over 70% in humidity are gone when I had this dehumidifier working hard. In about 4 hours, it dropped the humidity level significantly and the bin is full. Boy, when I removed the bin, that's a lot of water it collected in the air. My kids were amazed when I emptied it. They asked how it got water inside and took the opportunity to teach them science. Wife, however, got alarmed that the side vent is blowing hot air. Also, took the opportunity to explain science to her. I'm not a nerd. I googled it :) Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. When the 70-pint goes on Deal of the Day, I'll be sure to buy it to replace my 50-pint in the room and the 50-pint will go in the basement to dehumidify that. On a hot summer day, my central AC unit in the basement freezes due to the humidity so I hope this will help prevent that from happening. We'll see.

Great dehumidifier for basement
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dehumidifier to replace an older one from a different manufacturer that stopped working. This dehumidifier is quiet and it removed the moisture in our basement in a couple of days. Now it just kicks on every once in awhile and keeps the basement dry!

really nice dehumidifier
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on the deal of the day and it was a great price for all the features it has. It appears to be well built, quiet, and very efficient in operation

Works great for my basement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good dehumidifier. I bought this as a replacement for my basement dehumidifier and it is very quiet and efficient. Glad it has a drain hose option to save time not having to empty the collection bucket. Auto shutoff when desired humidity level is reached is great. It also shuts off if you're using the collection bucket and it's full. Filter light comes on when it's time to clean the filter and it's easy to clean. Additionally, the unit has timers that can be set relative to the unit running or shut off, although I haven't used these yet. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and delivery time was very quick.

Performs properly as described
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first dehumidifier that I have ever had. So, I can't compare it with the others. Briefly speaking, this dehumidifier performs properly as described. It does help collect the water in the air in my house. I was surprised when I saw the whole bucket of water it collected in my house. The downside is that it can be very noisy when it is running.

Works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a Deal of the Day and have had it about a month. So far it is working great. It was easy to setup and very quiet. The connection for the drain was much easier than the dehumidifier being replaced. A garden hose screws on the back and the water drains away. It reminds you to check the filter, which is easy to forget. Hopefully it was continue to keep the basement dry for many years.

Great to have one around the house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn’t think I would use as much but left it on in my walk in closet for few hours and it sucked up a lot of moisture. Glad I got this on sale. It’s a bit noisy but that’s expected from a dehumidifier. Works as intended and not any different than name brand ones.

Q: QuestionDoes the fan on this unit run continuously once the power is turned on ? I know the compressor will switch on and off to dehumidify, but I don't want the fan to run continuously....I want it to run in an Energy Saver mode like my window AC
Asked by Rob.
- A:Answer The first person to answer the question.........didn't answer the question. I bought this unit and tested it and it does in fact shut the circulation fan off once the humidity % setpoint is reached. If the room humidity sensor reads humidity above the setpoint, the fan and compressor will turn on again and drop the humidity back down to the setpoint and then turn the compressor and circulation fan off (silent). This is how the unit should operate. Some manufacturers leave the circulation fan running 100% of the time and aside from the noise, this wastes energy. The manual and all online information makes no attempt to explain this mode of operation which I think most purchasers would want to know. If this unit ran the circulation fan 100% of the time, I would have returned it to Best Buy today. So far, it runs very well, puts out moderate noise (meaning you definitely know it's on) but it is not too loud to be irritating. Quieter than a window AC unit. Worth the $130 I paid on the Deal of the Day.

Q: QuestionIf the unit is running during a power outage, will it resume when power is restored, or does it stay off until manually turned back on?
Asked by avash.
- A:Answer It turns back on resuming operations at the settings it was last programmed with.

Q: QuestionDoes this have to be hooked up to drain with a hose ? Is this big enough for a whole basement or do I need to go with a 70 pint unit?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer My basement is 33x33 and it does my whole basement very well. But I do have a hose connected to my sump pump well to drain into so I don't have to empty the bucket. Before, I had a similar unit on a table next to my slop sink and it drained into that. No, it does not have to be hooked up to the drain hose, it has a bucket.

Q: QuestionDoes the bucket have a fully removable lid for access for thorough cleaning? My previous dehumidifiers all had partial openings and even when I poured water and bleach to clean, I couldn't scrub, so I could never really get the gunk or mold out. Thanks.
Asked by Dee.
- A:Answer It does not. But it is wide enough on each side to easily reach in. The filter works so well, that bucket rarely needs cleaned.

Q: QuestionBecause of an attic issue, I do not and cannot have an exhaust fan in our bathroom. Would this dehumidifier work to reduce the moisture in a bathroom?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I use this dehumidifier in a basement with no windows and the dehumidifier does a good job there, so it should be fine in a bathroom. It functions well and should be able to remove the excess moisture.
