great
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR, this is a decent headset for the price. The factors for a 4 star rating and not 5 are: -non braided cable -tad bit uncomfortable -above average/below exceptional sound quality Other than that, this is a very well rounded, stylish, and great headset. I would recommend. The very first thing that irks me about this headset is it does not have a braided cable. For a $70 usb headset, a braided cable is not an unreasonable feature to have asked for. That being said, the build quality of the Electra V2 is great. The earcups have a solid but soft padding, and the plastic around the earcups are matte. I know many people avoid the depression/expansion (D/E) headband system, but I love it. I have found that this headset is better than most other D/E headsets. The headband does not want to automatically pull back and release the tension. It will stay where you put it. The headband itself is also very comfortable. The black aluminum structural band is sturdy and flexible. The microphone is what you’d expect for $70. The sound is better than some triple digit headsets I’ve used, it just lacks some compression. If you use a third party program to compress it a little, the mic sounds decent, unlike others might say. It’s really nice and convenient that it is detachable as I use the Blue Yeti microphone, even while gaming. However if I am on the go or simply do not feel like having a huge mic in my face I always have the Electra’s as an option. Comfort is okay, for me. My ears tend to get sore and I my other wish is the earcups were slightly wider and deeper. Other than that I am able to use this headset for a few hours at a time so it is not a huge drawback, but something worth noting. Sound experience is decent. This headset does a great job at higher frequencies, but lows to even mids can feel a little empty and shallow. If lows were a little more pronounced this would make for an exceptional listening experience. The blending of the ranges are there, the emphasis on lows are not. I’m not saying that it is bad by any means. I am just saying it’s not the best you can get for this price point in terms of audio quality. Finally Razer Synapse allows this headset to excell over other headsets at stock purchase. The 7.1 surround is automatically configured if using the USB version and it works very well. There are a few options for enhancing sound and the microphone straight from your system tray: no need to open the app. The only downside I could see for some people is the light is not RGB, it is only G. For my black and green setup, this headset fits right in.

Decent entry level sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On sale for 30 and is a value at that price. Headset fits snugly and has decent sound. Microphone is sensitive so turning down mic sensitivity was needed. Will it last?

Thrilled with this product!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must start my review with a disclaimer...I am not a gaming snob, so for those that are, you may feel differently about these headphones. The sound is fantastic and for those that like to simply chat with friends, they work perfectly. I play a lot of Call of Duty and love how well they pick up the sounds, especially of your enemies sneaking up on you. They are wired, which is a bit of an inconvenience, but I knew that when I bought them. The price is great (best price for this quality for certain). I have a much more expensive set of Turtle Beach headphones, but honestly I don’t hear much of a difference (although, I’m sure a gaming snob might).

Great affordable headset for gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this because of the price and I don't think I'll find much better for more expensive. I play a lot of PUBG, and many who play know how important audio is in that game for locating enemies. I'm not an audiophile so I don't know the technical terms, but gun shots sound great, listening for footsteps with these on has really improved my gameplay. I also play for extended periods of time (4+ hours) and the headset still feel comfortable, just a bit warm but that's to be expectex. If you're looking for a budget headset you should consider these.

Q: QuestionDo these offer 7.1 sound on Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PC?
Asked by MrKnifeGuy.
- A:Answer Compare these to the PlayStation Gold 7.1 these are trash. It’s very low and if your in party chat for ps4 you will have difficulty hearing. If I’m not mistaken these are perfect for pc because you can download the software to make it compatible to your games.

Q: Questionhow durable is it, my previous headsets broke in less then a year, so I'm looking for something that will last
Asked by Electro.
- A:Answer Most of the fasteners on this headset are metal. Not Plastic. Very solid construction and sound great to boot. This was purchased for my kids who are 6 and 10 and they are rough with everything. This will hold up very well to abuse and the rigors of life.
