I have a mainstay fan with light kit in my bedroom but I'm our guest bedroom we only have a ceiling light so I got this one for my spare room! It's is very easy to install and works great makes the room feel so much cooler and helps ventilation! I love it! Great price and perfect size for any bedroom!

Great fan with light for bedroom!

Easy assembly %26 nice looking fan. A bit on the small side but I should have paid attention to the measurements lol I purchased two, one for my living room and middle room, both rooms are on the bigger side 172 %26 180 sq ft. this fan works for the space %26 lights it up nicely. No complaints. Very nice for the price for a nice upgrade from the 70s style lights we replaced with these.

This ceiling fan has everything you need, even the lightbulb! It is a smaller size fan and a traditional design. It is ideal for medium size rooms, up to 15ft x 15ft.  The blades are white on one side and a grey wood grain on the other side and you can choose which side is facing downward. It also can be flush mounted to accommodate lower ceilings.

Fit into older light fixtures with no problems. Fans appear to be stable during use. High speed is not as fast as I would like but the air flow is good. Using two of these ceiling fans and one ac to cool two large rooms, its working great! 
For the price, they are very nice! I really like  the light switches that come with the fans. They allow the fan to operate and the light to be turned off as you leave the room.

Good buy

The Mainstays 42 inch ceiling fan is easy to install. The instructions are clear with both written and picture instructions. I love that the fan came with a light bulb. I always forget those. I also really like that the fan blades are reversible. I get to choose between a wood grain look or plain white. For now, the plain white blades match my decor better. One thing I would change is to have longer pull cords. The area where I plan to use this fan doesn't operate with a light switch so I have to manually use the pull cords and I cannot reach them because I am too short. Other than that minor detail, I am pleased with this ceiling fan.

Mainstays ceiling fan

This is the best! Came in a very small box I was quite impressed. Once again this features reversible fan blades which is think is sooo cool because I am a fan of switching up decor snd it's an easy way to do so. One side is white snd the other is a brown wood. Features a single glass dome light and has 2 pull chains- AND bonus points for coming with the necessary bulb!

Ceiling fan-basic but good quality

We are gaining more functionality with energy efficiency by replacing our entrance foyer light with this new fan w/ light. It's flush ceiling mount allows it not to interfere with our inward opening  front door.  It's going to bring in a good amount of fresh outdoor air in all Florida seasons with its 42” reversible-direction blades and three speed motor. It came in a color and style that coordinates with existing fixtures adjacent to the foyer.  A long life 60 watt LED light is included and the frosted glass globe will add sufficient ambiance as guests enter our home. I would recommend this ceiling fan to others who want more functionality that is energy efficient.

Great Functionality with Energy Efficiency

Easy up. We replaced our old one so it may make a difference in the time it takes but assembly was fast. I like the two modes for air flow and makes a difference  in summer and winter. Also the choice of the two sides fan blades. Easy wipe off cleaning with rag or a vacuum.

Ceiling fan

This fan is perfect, it's beautiful and stylish BUT it is small. My son's room is a 10×10 and because it's a flush ceiling fan it sticks closer to the ceiling. It only has 4 blades and it doesn't really provide a lot of breeze for the climate we have here in Jamaica. It looks good for aesthetic purposes but it doesn't quite deliver the amount of cooling that we require.
I think it's best for a low ceiling and a smaller space.
I dont regret the buy though it makes my son's room look boujee

Perfect but...

During installation I found that though the box I attached it to was flush with the ceiling. The bracket that holds the motor unit had space itself, the ceiling. A spacer was necessary.
Otherwise, it's a great fan, especially for the price.

The driver said the store gave them a damaged box
