This was the last great purpose built, portable GPS systems, especially for motorcyclists. I have used one for many years hard wired for my BMW motorcycle. I use the portable mount/wiring in my SUV and in rental cars when I travel. I often travel well out of Cellular phone and radio station range. In these instances the satellite radio cannot be beat. Just for fun, when I fly on an airliner and have a window seat, I will use the built in battery power and place it against the window. It actually works giving me the map location and indicated speeds of over 500 mph. I like being able to receive and send telephone calls while riding my motorcycle as the 665 Bluetooths to my Schuberth Helmet. It will also give me weather alerts on the fly. If you don't already have a built-in GPS or think you could use the portability like I do, get a 665, if you can find one or a unit (Some BMW) with the portable wiring.Read full review

Purchased this GPS as a replacement for a 10 year old unit for my Harley. Using the Harley fairing mount for a cleaner installation. This unit is packed with features; XM radio, MP3 player, language translator, calculator and more. Really like the fact that its easy to use with gloves on, and is totally waterproof. Variable brightness adjustment is great for sunny days. And you can't beat the free lifetime map updates. The GPS came with everything needed for bike mounting, as well as a complete automobile set-up. This GPS is a great value.

I love my new Garmin Zumo 665LM. After years of trying to find a cheaper alternative (waterproof phone cases, cheap Chinese gps units, etc), I finally have a solution actually designed for motorcycle use. Now that the Zumo 395 is the latest version, the price is finally acceptable on the 665. I still have an issue with a dedicated unit costing more than a much more feature rich phone, but at least it's no longer $700.+/- Adding XM NavTraffic and NavWeather was quite inexpensive due to my existing XM subscriptions, but a serious PITA to deal with Sirius/XM since they don't acknowledge that the GXM40 (xm receiver) is supported. Once I managed to talk to someone from support who actually spoke English and threatened to cancel all of my subscriptions, I finally got them to active this radio. But that is not an issue with this device, only with Sirius/XM.Read full review

I was very surprised of all the extra accessories that comes with the Zumo. Looks great on the handlebars, almost factory looking. Easy to mount and easy to wire directly to the bike. Fast response at your fingertips, and the price you really cant get a better price. XM Radio works fine, but now if I can just find a way to control the volume through the small amp I have on my Harley, to coincide with my I-Pod. Really, this is all you need if your looking for a good GPS.....Don't listen to all the critics....bla, bla bla, Buy it, and it will perform all the functions you need. The kit comes with everything you will need to perform a nice neat installation. Jim From The Big Apple

This Garmin is easy to use, very intuitive. I bought it to use on my motorcycle and it has not let me down. I rode for 2 hours in a downpour, and it never faltered. Very nice quick release on the permanent mount. The wiring harness for mount on the motorcycle includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack in case you don't use bluetooth. It paired easily with my Sena bluetooth headsets, and my android phone. Would have been 5 stars, but the display is difficult to view in sunlight. Beach Audio was very quick to ship and followed up with an email to confirm the shipment, and offer assistance if needed.
